We are always in need of volunteers to help us with our mission to rescue, treat, transport and find loving homes for cats and dogs at the shelter. Due to security reasons we cannot invite volunteers from abroad to work at the shelter, but we do need help from volunteers within the United States to do the following things:

 

---Gather donated supplies and help us ship or deliver them to the shelter. We always need a variety of veterinary medicines and supplies, including de-wormer, puppy pads, towels, cat carriers, vitamins, infant formula, surgical suture, leashes and collars. For a complete list see the DONATE page.

 

---Help us find adoptive homes and also temporarily foster dogs and cats who arrive without a permanent home or who are waiting for the home to be ready.

 

---Help us raise funds by assisting at our annual June and December parties in Virginia, by hosting a gathering of friends and animal lovers at which an ASAL official can speak, or by asking friends to donate cash or supplies to Tigger House instead of giving a birthday or holiday gift to you.
